I’d like to install Gogs (and everything else really) through my system’s package manager. I am running Ubuntu 20.04, and previously had this installed through the packager.io repository on Ubuntu 18.04.
I’ve found that https://packager.io/gh/gogs/gogs/ only lists Ubuntu 14.04, 16.04, and 18.04, but not 20.04.
I tried the 18.04 package but (somewhat unsurprisingly) it seems several dependencies are missing on 20.04:
# apt install gogs Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: gogs : Depends: libreadline7 but it is not installable Depends: libssl1.0.0 but it is not installable Depends: libmysqlclient20 but it is not installable Depends: libevent-2.1-6 but it is not installable Depends: libevent-core-2.1-6 but it is not installable Depends: libevent-extra-2.1-6 but it is not installable E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
I then tried the Debian 10 package and that installed successfully, though this is obviously unideal.
